The clouds parted and the sun came out just in time for Kelsey & Schenck’s October wedding at the beautiful home of her parents! A magnificent Oak Tree designed for their invitation set the tone this very special day. Guests walked the stone steps and path to the outdoor ceremony lined with gorgeous white, gold and orange pumpkins and iron lanterns. The altar featured romantic drapery, a crystal chandelier and stunning arrangements on pedestals in Fall colors of purple, gold and orange with more beautiful floral arrangements floating in the pool.
Sweet songs from an Irish Harp filled the air with songs selected by the bride & groom. The ceremony was a simple and sweet profession of their love and commitment to each other witnessed by their family and friends with a special candle lighting in memory of the groom’s grandmother and father. After the ceremony guests entered the family home to enjoy delicious passed appetizers and drinks while the bride, groom and their families posed for the photographer against stunning outdoor backdrops. We quickly transformed the ceremony space for the reception dressing the tables with ivory linens, mini-pumpkins filled with florals and dark mahogany chairs. The cake table featured a rich, orange ribbon taffeta linen and of course a delicious 4 tier wedding cake! After cocktail hour guests dined on delicious food featuring Thai Chicken Skewers, Mini Beef Wellingtons, Buffalo Shrimp Skewers, Prosciutto Wrapped Grilled Asparagus, Twice Baked New Potatoes, Mushrooms Rockefeller and Blue Cheese and Pecan Tartlets with Applewood Bacon. Special touches – cookies baked by a family friend that were to die for, a unique guest book “Science is Beautiful” and pecan and apple mini-pies baked that morning for each guest as a memorable and yummy memento!
